The Boston Athenæum Norma Jean Calderwood Gallery
The Boston Athenæum’s Norma Jean Calderwood Gallery features three exhibitions per year. These are always open to the public during normal business hours. These exhibitions are generated by the Athenæum’s curatorial staff in the Art Department and include objects, both historical and contemporary, from the Athenæum’s own collections, as well as others lent to the Athenæum by other cultural organizations. Traveling exhibitions, organized by other museums, are also hosted by the Athenæum on a regular basis. Lectures, curators’ gallery talks, symposia, and other public and educational programs are often held in conjunction with the Athenæum’s exhibitions.
